A compilation of some of the recently emerging resources available for freelancers and small businesses, meant to assist and provide relief for our users during the current economic crisis.

Many of these programs are new and still evolving, so we will be continuously updating this page with the most current available information. We also encourage you to stay apprised of any of the programs that are becoming available through your local channels.

$1,200 IRS Payment

Qualifications: ALL workers(including freelancers) earning up to $75,000 annually, with those that earn up to $99,000 receiving a smaller amount.

How to Apply: File your 2018 or 2019 federal income tax return with the IRS, or complete the electronic non-filer form.

Unemployment Insurance Benefits

Qualifications: Freelancers, independent contractors, and part time workers now all qualify for monetary unemployment benefits.

Up to $10,000 SBA Loan

Qualifications: Under the CARES Act, independent contractors and freelancers are eligible to receive a government grant of up to $10,000.

Paycheck Protection Program Loan

Qualifications: All businesses – including sole proprietorships, self-employed individuals, and independent contractors – with 500 or fewer employees can apply. All loan terms will be the same for everyone.
